OBD-based connected car service platform

KCC Information & Communication has built an on-board diagnostics (OBD) system connected to the car service platform and has entered the IoT-based smart car service market in partnership with Korea's major telecom operator SKT.

Based on KCC Auto Group's new cars, rental cars, authorized pre-owned cars, etc., the system has built a platform to collect customers' vehicle status data in real time. They have developed connected car services that analyze the accumulated big data and the functionality to identify significant information to contribute to the safety and convenience of customers.

On the basis of the platform, the company has also diversified its businesses, making its way into the smart car service market. They have achieved this through the conversion to the mobility-related service ecosystem covering driver insurance, long-term rental/lease, rent-a-car/car sharing, and management services for vehicles for official use or by private educational institutions, various O2O services, and others.

KCC Information & Communication aims to provide a total care service that manages the entire life cycles of vehicles, beginning with the connected car service platform for the cars representing the seven foreign brands that are traded through KCC Auto Group. To demonstrate this service, KCC Information & Communication also cooperates with Incheon U City.
